This page explains what happens to your data when you use haulcosts.com. In short: our calculators run entirely in your browser and don’t send your inputs anywhere, and the only tracking on this site is standard, aggregated traffic analytics.
The calculators don’t collect your inputs
Every number you type into a Haul Costs calculator, your fixed costs, your mileage, your invoice volume, your rate, is processed entirely in your own browser using JavaScript. None of it is sent to our servers, stored in a database, or shared with anyone. Close the tab and it’s gone. If you refresh the page, you start over.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic, which pages get visited, roughly how many people visit, general device and location data. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
We do not use this data to identify individual visitors, and we do not sell or share it with anyone beyond Google’s standard Analytics processing.
No accounts, no email collection, today
As of this policy’s effective date, Haul Costs has no sign-up, no user accounts, and no email capture anywhere on the site. If that changes, this policy will be updated first, and the update will be dated at the top of this page.
External links
Some pages link to third-party companies, factoring providers, insurers, load boards, and similar. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don’t control. Read their policies before sharing information with them.
Children’s privacy
Haul Costs is a business tool for commercial truck operators and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page. Meaningful changes, such as adding a new form of data collection, will be described here in plain language, not buried in legal text.
